Snooflee started with one frustration: dog toys are either rock hard plastic that no dog warms to, or a flimsy plush thing with no function. There is very little in between that a dog keeps picking up of his own accord.
So we started with one product instead of a catalogue. One duck, carefully chosen and honestly described. We also tell you what it is not for, and that is tug of war. We tested three of them with two boxers: the moment a person grabs the neck or the feet and the dog pulls, it tears at the neck or at the bottom where the ropes are. Two of the three broke that way. We would rather lose that sale than have you buy a toy that lies open after one round.
For the same reason this first batch costs less than the duck will cost afterwards. We are having the neck and the rope attachment reinforced for the next production run. Until that one arrives you pay the launch price. You know exactly what you are getting and what not to do with it.

Why a duck and not just a squeaky ball?
A ball rolls away and that is that. A chew bone is only chewing. The shape of a duck gives your dog something to pick up, carry and shake out, and that is what makes play last.

Is this right for my dog?
This duck is made for puppies and small to medium sized dogs that like carrying, shaking and squeaking. Does your dog take every plush toy apart within five minutes? Then this is not the right toy, and we would rather say that now than after your order.
Can I play tug of war with it?
No. This is the one point we are strict about. The feet are braided rope and they look like handles, but that is not what it is made for. If you hold the neck or the feet while your dog pulls, it tears within seconds, usually at the neck or at the bottom where the ropes are attached. We tested three of them with two boxers and two tore that way. Hand the duck to your dog and let your dog play with it alone: carrying, shaking, chewing and squeaking are all fine.
Will it fall apart straight away?
Not with normal play. Ours has been with two boxers for days now, chewed and carried around, with no tears. It only goes wrong with tug of war, so when a person pulls from the other side. This is plush and it stays plush, not an indestructible chew. If a tear does appear, take the toy away, because filling and squeakers do not belong in a dog's stomach.
Why is it cheaper right now?
Because this is the first production run. We found out ourselves that it tears as soon as you play tug of war with it, and we are having the neck and the rope attachment reinforced before the next batch is made. While this first batch lasts you pay the launch price instead of the 19.95 it will cost afterwards. So you get a good toy with a known limitation, for less money.
From what age?
From around three months. Keep an eye on things as long as you do not yet know how your dog handles plush toys.
What sounds does it make?
There is a squeaker in the body that responds to every squeeze, right through the plush. That sound is why dogs hold on to a duck longer than a silent toy. Do not put it in the washing machine, the squeaker will not survive that.
How do I clean it?
Hand wash at low temperature with a little mild soap, then let it air dry. Not in the washing machine and not in the dryer.
When will I have it?
Ordered before 16:00 on a working day? Then it leaves the same day. The Shipping and delivery page lists the current delivery time per country.
And if it does not work out?
You have a statutory cooling-off period of fourteen days, counted from the day after you receive the parcel. One email to info@snooflee.shop is enough and you do not have to give a reason. After that you have another fourteen days to send it back. Return shipping is at your own cost. The Returns and right of withdrawal page explains exactly how it works.
